We prefer that support questions are sent us by email.
Please use our firstname.lastname@example.org address – and do not send emails directly to people in the technical department (this creates a mess and results in bad support for you).
We will of course always answer to support questions on the phone if you are in a real rush.
All repeating support questions are being collected in a FAQ – this is one of the reasons why it is important to get a support issues in writing.

Frequently asked questions
All these headphones have an internal battery that lasts approximately 40 hours to support the ANR (acoustic noise reduction).
If this battery goes flat, the ANR will simply stop working.
However, as a fail safe you will still hear ATC but the audio will sound muffled and the volume will be reduced.
We recommend keeping extra AAA batteries available for your QC®25 and a charger cable available for the QC®35 and the Sony WH-1000XM3.
Both the QC®35 and the WH-1000XM3 can be charged in flight by plugging in for example a USB battery pack into the USB port found on the right side of your headset.
We still recommend ensuring your headphones are completely charged before flight.
2.Will I be warned if my Bose® headphones have low battery power?
No – you will not a get a message about low battery on the headset when the avee is plugged in.
You will however get a audio message from the headset (reporting battery status) when you turn it on and the avee is not plugged in.
Audio quality and communication will remain the same until all battery power is lost.
When the battery in the headset is completely flat, ANR (noise reduction) will be switched off, but ATC communication audio will however be available (even if it will be a bit muffled).
3.Is the internal Bluetooth in the QC®35 and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones used in the Avee system?
No, when these headphones are connected to the avee335 Microphone Add-on, the internal Bluetooth is not used or required during flight. Any Bluetooth connections to mobile devices can be achieved using our Bluetooth Controller
4.Will music or phone calls be interrupted by ATC?
Yes, on the BlueLink you can choose to automatically mute phone calls or music when ATC calls in.
We also have a feature called Silent Cockpit. Simply select the ‘silent cockpit’ key on your Bluetooth Controller to mute music and reject any incoming calls—a useful feature when flying into busy airports.
5.Will mobile interference occur in my headset?
As on all electronical equipment, you can also get the familiar GSM buzzing on the avee.
If this occurs try moving your mobile device (including tablets) away from all Avee cables.
We also recommend turning off GSM while in flight, even if GSM transceivers will not introduce any critical issues for the avee microphone add-on.
6.What is the difference between the avee325 and avee335?
The avee325 works with the Bose® QC® 25 headphone (only) while the avee335 works the QC® 35 headphone only.
7.Will the avee335 work with the QC® 35 MkII ?
Yes – avee335s produced after February 2018 works with both MkI and MkII of the Bose® QC® 35.
1.Will the avee microphone adapter work in any aircraft ?
Yes, the the avee microphone adapter will work in all aircrafts with a high impedance intercom/radio system.
Most modern aircrafts in the world utilize a high impedance communication system.
2.Will the avee GA connectors fit any aircraft – like a Boeing 747 or a Cessna 172 ?
If your aircraft has GA connectors for the headsets, the avee GA connectors will fit perfectly.
Some aircrafts however, use different connectors – like XLR-5 or the Lemo Redel (also referred to as a Bose connector).
In this case, you will need the appropriate connector for that specific aircraft.
3. Which aircraft connectors do you support? We support all standard connectors found in aircrafts: GA, 174/U, Bose, Neutricon and XLR-5. If you don’t see your adapter available, please contact us!
4. I fly aircrafts with different connectors. Do I need more avee microphone add-ons ?
No – you do only need one avee microphone add-on.
Simply purchase the aircraft adapter cables you need, and plug the correct one for that specific aircaft into the avee microphone add-on.
The exchange is done in 3 seconds.
5. Can I listen to music simply by connecting the cable to my mobile device?
No, none of our products supports listening to music with a straight cable connection.
The reason for this is safety!
When you get an ATC call, the music MUST be muted automatically – and this can not be done using a passive cabled connection to your phone or pad.
The Avee BlueLink will however allow you to connect up to two mobile devices to listen to music or audiobooks and place or receive phone calls.
On this solution music is automatically and immediately muted when you get an ATC call.
1.What happens if I lose battery power to my Bluetooth Controller?
When the internal battery in the Avee BlueLink loses power, all mobile device connections will be disconnected.
Regular audio communication such as ATC communication and ntercom will continue as normal without disconnecting the Bluetooth Controller.
2.Will I be warned if my Bluetooth Controller battery is low?
Yes, when you power on the Bluetooth Controller you will receive an audio message identifying the battery life remaining in a percentage.
When the battery reaches 30% you will receive another audio message that will be repeated at 10% increments until all battery power is lost. The Bluetooth Controller has approximately 15-20 hours of battery life.
3.Will my BlueLink charge while connected during flight?
No, the Bluetooth Controller will not be charged while connected to your Avee system during flight.
We recommend charging the BlueLink controller prior to flight to ensure you sustain full battery power.
If you have separate capabilities to charge your controller on flight, disconnect it from your Avee headset and complete your charge independent from your Avee connection.
1.Why do you have two microphone booms ? We have the microphone boom in two different lengths because we are not all created in the same size, and it is important that the microphone is directly in front of your mouth to work as efficiently as possible.
2. How do you know what is the correct microphone boom length ?
Very simple to measure by following thee steps: a. Find a tape measure and a pencil ( it does not have to work).
b, Stick the pencil (carefully) into your right ear. c. Measure the distance between the pencil at your ear and center of mouth.
- 145mm microphone boom If the distance is less than 155mm – chose the 145mm microphone boom.
- 165mm microphone boom If the distance is more than 155mm – chose the 165mm microphone boom.
3. Can I exchange the microphone boom myself ? Y
es you can. The microphone boom is attached to the avee microphone add-on via a micro USB connector and a flexible silicon connection.

We recommend keeping a charger cable with you at all times during flight. The QC®35 can be charged in-flight by connecting your Bose® Micro-USB cable to the port found on the right side of your headset (the opposite side your Avee system is connected).
We still recommend fully charging your headphones before flight.
2. Supports bluetooth connectivity or cable connection to any mobile device
The built-in Bose® Bluetooth is not utilized during flight with any Avee product.
This would be beneficial when using your headphones for entertainment purposes.
The avee335 microphone add-on specific to the QC®35 headphones is compatible with our avee350 Bluetooth Controller which enables connection with up to two mobile devices to listen to music or audiobooks and take/receive phone calls during flight.
3. Single model that supports Android and Apple mobile devices
All Avee products are compatible with either Android or Apple specific headphones.
4. Slightly wider and weighs slightly more than the QC®25 headphones
The avee335 Microphone Add-on is engineered to connect seamlessly with the QC®35 headphones.
